Day 2 of the APT Poker Room Inaugural Tournament kicked off promptly at 4pm at the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel with the 87 qualifiers getting a feel of the newly opened APT Poker Room with its cush black leather chairs and APT custom designed red-rimmed black felt tables.
Action was fast paced with many short stacks quickly eliminated while the big stacks amassed more chips. After just three levels of play, the room compressed down to 56 gunners with Justin Geronimo leading with 277,000 chips. Right on his coattails was the day’s chip leader, Samad Razavi with 270,000 chips, followed by Rehg Delos Reyes and Randy Boone both with 250,500 chips.
Other players slowly making the climb are Kristian Faering, Ronald Dimaano, and Day 1A chip leader Yul Maravilla. Only the top 36 players will be seeing the money, with the day ending when the final table of 10 is reached.
In addition, there are 10/20 cash tables running alongside the event. Other stakes are available upon request.
