From 341 entries, it’s down to 181 runners in Day 2 of the APT Asian Poker Series Manila 2015 Main Event at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Philippines.
Only 36, sometimes lucky most often skilled, players will reach the money round in this event. Four players bring a stack of chips worth over the century mark and will be in pole position in the race for the ITM finish; Linh Tran (Vietnam) leads the pack with 111,300 followed by Simba (Korea) with 109,100; and the Philippines’ Noel Araniel and Jojo Allado with 106,900 and 103,050, respectively.
From the total prize pool of PHP 15,215,400, the lion’s share of PHP 3,758,200 will go to the next APT main event champion with PHP 106,500 going to the worst money finisher— not bad for two day’s work and more than double the buy-in for this event.
Here are the list of players and their stacks who will enter Day 2 as among the chip leaders:
Other notable pros still in the running for cashing and winning the APT crown are; Kai Paulsen (Norway) with 73,350; Kenneth Khoo (Singapore) with 72,350; Marc Rivera (Philippines) with 66,575; Mark Benasa (Philippines) with 66,000; Andrew Gaw (Philippines) with 57,300; and Mika Takayama (Philippines) with 55,700;, among many others.
