APT Presents P115K Check to Charity; Series Events All In Full Swing

With great pleasure, APT’s CEO Jeff Mann presented a check of P115,000 to Dieter Bruckner of the Rotary Club of Makati North (RCMN) for its flagship project, Feed a Child, Build a Nation feeding program. This donation will be able to feed 50 children for almost an entire school year.

Having recently re-launched the project, the RCMN, in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club of Makati North, aims to deliver nutritional lunches to chosen public schools where there is a high malnutrition rate of children enrolled. According to their website..

“The program is intended to create a viable, long-term, community based school feeding program that will serve as a model that can be replicated throughout the country. It features a supplementary nutritious lunch feeding program to 100 elementary school students in the public school of Barangay Sta Cruz & Barangay Singkamas, Makati City involving mostly volunteer to help minimize administrative cost.”

In addition, Lim Dae Hoon was officially awarded his trophy for winning the first event of the series last night, the NLH Re-Buys + 1 Add-On.

Lots of action happening around the room starting with the third event of the series, the Mix Game PLH/PLO with a total of 69 players in the field. Some of the big hitters seen at the felt were Euryd Rivera, Sam Razavi, and Jae Chul Chang.

For the High Rollers event, 37 players forked up the P108,000 entry fee with the likes of Feng Zhao, Inaki Santos, Henrik Tollefsen, and Victor Chong, to mention a few. After 11 levels, play will break and the remaining players will resume tomorrow.

The initiation of the first ever APT Open Face Chinese Pineapple Tournament event saw a total of 44 players take to the felt. This event is the first of its kind introduced in a major Asian poker event, and it may also possibly be the biggest OFCP tournament ever held in Asia. Seen at the felt were recent APT Asian Series Cambodia Main Event champion Michael Lindstrom,  APT-RWM Iron Man third placer Sandro Simon, Yuri Ishida, and Sim Jae Kyung a.k.a. Simba.
