The Manila Millions HKD $1 million Super High Roller, which is part of the upcoming Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2012, now has a confirmed 25 players in the field.
Joining the big names already rumoured to be going are Asian pros Elton Tsang – who was runner up in last year’s APT Philippines 2011 Main Event – Anson Tsang and Devan Tang. In addition, regulars on high stakes cash games: AsianLogic’s Tom Hall, APT founder Chris Parker and the Poker King Club’s Winfred Yu have also indicated they will joining the action.
Another possible player on the fence is reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel who tweeted his interest to the APT last week: “Given the structure, I would assume it is a 1 day event? Can that be confirmed?”
The rest of the field are Asian businessmen from Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Singapore as well as some familiar faces on high stakes tables. With a prize pool now in excess of USD $3 million, this super high rollers event is definitely shaping up to indeed be biggest ever tournament in Asia.
