The Asian Poker Tour (APT) and Resorts World Manila has announced that Asia’s biggest and most anticipated super high roller poker tournament – the Manila Millions – will now be streamed live on Ustream tomorrow.
Due to the huge amount of interest in the tournament, it was decided at the last moment to try to enable fans around the world to get as close to the action as possible without actually having to be present. The stream will be appear through Ustream when the Manila Millions begins at 3pm on Friday, April 20 2012. A 15-minute delay in the stream will ensure the integrity of the game.
APT CEO Jeff Mann commented, “This is another exciting first for the Asian Poker Tour and Resorts World and will give fans the chance to join us for an eagle eye view of the action. We are very grateful to our sponsor PokerAce for providing the technology, budget and knowhow at very short notice to make this all possible – a first for the Philippines.”
The Manila Millions features a HKD $1 million (USD $128,000) buy-in and is expected to attract a large contingent of international poker pros. Already reported as playing in the event are Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Joe Hachem, John Juanda, Johnny Chan, Elton Tsang, Devan Tang, Anson Tsang, Winfred Yu, Tom Hall and Chris Parker. The field currently stands at 26 players, with a prize pool in excess of USD $3 million and registrations still open.
